Ireland's Women in Finance Charter
At Hannover Re (Ireland) DAC ("HRI"), we are proud to be a signatory of Ireland's Women in Finance Charter.
We believe in gender diversity at all levels of our organisation and are delighted to be one of 81 signatories demonstrating our commitment to increase women's participation across the Financial Services sector.
Overview
Ireland's Women in Finance Charter was launched in April 2022. It is an initiative led by industry and supported by the Government of Ireland to improve gender balance at all levels within the sector.
Financial services companies, representing over 44,000 employees across the industry, have come together to ensure increased participation of women at all levels. As a company dedicated to diversity, we are proud to be a signatory to Ireland’s Women in Finance Charter.
Progress
We are pleased to report that Hannover Re (Ireland) DAC ("HRI") remains on plan to meet our targets set as part of the Women in Finance Charter - namely to reach 50% female representation in the Technical/Professional category and maintain at least 30% female representation at all other levels by 2025.
As of 1 January 2024, female representation was above 30% in all employee categories, and was significantly above this in a number of the employee categories as defined under the Charter. In the Technical/Professional category, female representation has increased from 47% at 1 January 2022 to 50% at 1 January 2024.
